You knew it was coming....... Food in Fiji

Well its one of our favourite parts of travelling....the food, so here it is.

A rather impressive gingerbread house for Christmas, the kids were impressed.

Massive pizzas at the Golf Club, we went back several times.  They were fresh, fantastic, wood fired pizzas and a bargain.

Kids menu was pretty impressive at the Wet Edge (at the resort)

Drink with an umbrella ...what else its the tropics!

With my girl.

Share seafood plate, it was yummo.  The local raw fish dish was Kokoda and I ate the whole thing

Down to the marina for a feed.

Looks pretty good but we gave it a miss.

Had this instead.

Tick that one off the I am not going to be a chickenshit anymore list!

I have spent ages wanting to do this and always been too scared to but I decided last year that I was sick of being a chicken shit and not going to let my fears get the better of me.  After watching the parasailing down at the beachfront I decided to book a trip, lucky for me Hayden and Biz were also up for the ride.

Not too shabby a place to give this a go.

Kids ready to go and looking for little crabs along the shore.

Off we go!  We thought Hayden was going to bail but he didn't.  Bella was buckled in and ready to go.

Sheraton Denarau Villas

So we cashed in the Starwood Points and booked this baby!  Two bedroom, full kitchen with a dishwasher, two bathroom, washer and dryer, living area on the ground floor with walk out access to the pool.  Its one of the best places we've ever stayed at.  It is huge.  Check it out here

Kids room with their own shower and loo and tv etc.

Main living area

Our room - yep a king size bed with a small lounge area.

Bathroom

Fancy bath products.

Rum Tasting 101

So it was a little drizzly and we were not up for swimming or staying in.  So we decided to duck over to the Golf Club to the Fiji Rum Tasting Experience.  Luckily it wasn't raining heavy and we could still walk over.  Someone may have set this up.....because she wanted to go.  Anyway the details, for a small price you can get a tasting set of 4 rums, so we got one each and tried eight different rums.  There were some 2 year old and some 8 year old (older ones were also available at extra cost) and different flavours.  We tried the banana, coffee, white, coconut...mmmm.  So I got two bottles to bring home, cheers big ears.
